After experiencing the loss of my son, Jude, I know the pain and agony that follows. When that happened, there weren't any organizations around that could help with this type of loss. Most organizations were focused on a loved one that had lived a long life. I struggled to find the support for my wife and myself. Thankfully, we had the love of family and friends to help us. Knowing this pain and how hard it can be I want to raise awareness to what Walk With Me is doing and to help provide funding for their programs. Tools that I used to help heal, and continue to use are getting outdoors and yoga. The connection to the wild is something that's been lost and is so important in this age we live in. Yoga, has been life-changing. Not just from the physical practice (gentlemen, it's not just stretching) but the emotional balance and knowing that it's ok to be vulnerable and express when pain is felt. So, I'm guiding a Hike + Flow class at Staunton State Park to help raise funds for Walk With Me during the solar eclipse on October 14. Donate and come join me in the wild.
